Flow Collection vs. Packet Capture
If you are using Cisco’s Netflow, simply configure the RN50’s IP address as the collector and Traffic Analytics will begin analyzing the traffic reported by that device. To determine if your IOS devices support Netflow, use the Feature Navigator to search your software image.
By configuring port mirroring on a device in your network, you can connect a physical RN50 node and begin Packet Capture. The RN50 is configured using a simple web interface, requiring only IP configuration. There is an additional cost for the use of a physical appliance.
